A spur of the moment visit.
I drove by Rest-a-Bit tavern while taking my sister to the bus station, and decided I need to stop on my way back through here. The club is right on 46 in the middle of a town. Lit up with a big sign, can't miss it. It has a very nice parking lot and is a small older building. The entrance is just a plain wooden door with a green light next to it. At first I was not sure if I had the right door.
The club itself was more like a small neighborhood bar. You walk in and are greeted by the bar right in front of you with bar stools all around. Most of the stools were filled, some seats had both a customer and a dancer on them. The bar is in a rectangular shape with a big opening inside. The small dance stage and pole are also inside the bar. On the far side of the bar is a pool table which was being used. There is also an extended bar in that area with a TV behind it. The place was jumping in my estimation. Much more active than most of the daytime places I go in NC. I liked the feel.
I took a seat and a bartender quickly took my order. Pleasant older lady. Mixed drink was $11. About 6 dancers inside the bar. One Dominican the rest white. I am guessing that they were Brazilian but not really sure. I think they all had an accent but the music was pretty loud. I had a hard time conversing with most. One dancer inside the bar told me that I needed to move to another seat and asked if she could move my drink? I said okay and the location actually seemed much better.
