Get Rid of $40 Dances

Memorial Day 2021. I get there around 7 p.m. Fairly dead as I imagine it would be most Monday nights. There were about 7 dancers give or take if I recall correctly. Covid protocol seemed to be to have your mask off until you were first seated and then you could take it off for the rest of your visit. Dancers had masks on while on stage, but took them off after leaving the stage to go and talk with customers. Also on the Covid front, I noticed another customer who didn’t wash his hands after going to the bathroom. That shit has to stop, even if we aren’t in a pandemic but especially during a pandemic. I always hear “just use common sense with Covid” but thanks to jackasses like this guy who refuse to use common sense and basic sanitizing measures, you can see why it got out of control. There was no bathroom troll, but shit maybe guys like this make that position a necessary evil.

Anyway, first dancer that approaches me is a light skinned AA dancer named Dylan. She seems nice enough but states dances are $40. That seemed a little high. She said that she could do $20 but that would be an air dance. I appreciate her honesty but decline.

The next dancer that comes and talks to me is a cute brunette named April. Enjoyed a little good conversation with her before she solicited me for a dance. She said her dances were $20. “Air dance?” I enquired after hearing about Dylan’s proposal, she said no. I took her up. April said that it had been a while since she last worked. Maybe she hadn’t heard about other dancers raising their prices, so perhaps you can’t get her dances this cheap even a few weeks later.
