Sunday Funday

I showed up at Vanity around nine on a Sunday to find it unexpectedly closed, so I headed to the adjacent Columbus Gold. Cover was $10 with an ID and temperature check. The latter was the only evidence I saw that there was ever a pandemic. I think the bouncers here expect you to tip them as they open the door for you, but I'm not sure. It makes me feel really awkward, as that is not the practice anywhere else in Columbus.

The bar is near the entrance. The main floor with four-seat tables is to your right, and there is a small rectangular stage against the back wall. It's more difficult to talk or otherwise interact with the dancers at this stage than at some other clubs, just because of the geometry of the railing and seating. I should mention it was a lot more crowded than I expected, but I eventually found out why.

The bartender and servers dress like strippers, and, as usual, the hottest girl in the club was a server. I asked for a dance, but she could only do VIP. The Jack 'n' Cokes she brought me were $8.
