Friday Afternoons - back to high energy

Fridays are interesting…. Arrived pretty early… definitely before one… and it was dead. Within an hour it’s like standing room only…and then at 3:30 - 4 it starts emptying out again. Sat against the mirrored wall, which I prefer, so I have complete visibility to the room, and no one comes up behind me. I am generally annoyed by the Cubans or other non English speakers, as since they can’t carry a conversation- it’s just asking for dances… which is fine for them when it is packed. However, there is one exception - I think her name starts with an ”A” - Cuban brunette, probably late 20’s - she tries to chat which I appreciate. She seems to have a VIP approach to make you the LDK in 4-5 songs… which is usually great… but it was early so I stopped her in time to be able to remain alert as the afternoon progressed. Received awesome massage from the regular woman who is chill, and she does some independent film acting. There is a Phillapino whose approach is annoying - tries to “force” dances on you by just sitting on your lap and starting- another reason I like the wall- can see her coming and cross my legs. I was approached by a slender brunette before I left… told her I was leaving shortly… wound up chatting for 10 minutes and she practically forced her number on me - it’ll be interesting to see what that’s about. As an aside…. If you like to get great service… open a tab…even when it’s busy your waitress will be very attentive - since they put a little glass with her name on it , no other waitresses can serve you..so she’ll keep checking on you-and then you can close it with cash if you’d like. Overall, Friday afternoons seem to be at a point now with plenty of dancers… too many Cubans, lots of travelers…. But the overall quality is increasing.
