Slow, unenthusiastic Saturday afternoon

I stopped here on a Saturday afternoon, staying until about 7pm. Then I went to Tally Ho across town. Quite a contrast between the two.

The Barrel isn't exactly the bottom of, but it's close. There were 4 or 5 dancers working at 5pm with another one or two who arrived before I left. The dancers were attractive. I'd rate them all at least 6 or better. No fatties who shouldn't be dancing. The big problem was the dancers seemed to just be hanging out. None approached me until finally at almost 7pm one asked if I wanted a private dance.

The stage has 3 poles but only one was being used. The dancers all tried to do some pole work with one being very skilled. But for the first hour plus none removed their tops. Each dancer does three songs which they select from an on-stage juke box system. The place wasn't busy, but there were 10-15 customers. Usually three or four guys would tip each dancer by walking to the stage, but no one really sat at the stage. It was just surprising how disinterested the dancers were.
