Underwhelmed

I was in Dayton for dinner on a Tuesday night and decided to check out Dayton's "other" strip club. So I picked up a bottle at the liquor store (it's a BYOB club) and headed over to Diamonds Cabaret.

Diamonds is a private club in a strip mall on the main drag of one of Dayton's southern suburbs. No valet, but it seemed safe enough. Upon walking in, I was greeted by one of the bouncers who checked to make sure my bottle was sealed, ran me through the metal detector, and rattled off the club's many rules. He then took me to the check-in counter where a girl scanned my ID and produced a two page membership contract. I had to initial each of the club's sixteen rules and sign at the bottom. She also took ten dollars and gave me a membership card. The fee to get in varies from $5 to $25 depending on the night, your age, and your gender. On this night, I paid $10.

Inside, the club is beautiful. There are two smallish elevated stages, roughly eight by ten feet each and small tables scattered around the main floor, but no seats at the stage. I didn't inquire if that's a COVID measure or if they have never had a stageside rack, but it didn't look like they're set up for having customers sit stageside. A second level where private dances occur rings the main floor.
