Changed, and not for the better

Miss Kitty's has previously been one of my go-to places when passing through the St. Louis area. I'm afraid that has changed. Of course, many places have undergone changes since the COVID shutdown -- some have closed entirely. But I got the definite feeling on this Thursday-evening visit -- as I had on a Saturday-night visit a few weeks prior -- that this was no longer a place I wanted to spend my time or money.

As to the layout, the long bar is to the right as you enter, with the main stage straight ahead, square with a pole in the center. There is another stage off the left, but I've never seen that one used -- even on weekend nights back before COVID.

First impression coming in the door was not good. Cover charge was bumped up to $10, which might have been OK if the entertainment had been up to snuff. But it certainly was not.
