Hidden gem club in Hot Springs
Ok I happened to have some free time to kill while in Hot Springs and happened to stop by the French Quarter club. This is a super tiny club in downtown hot springs. I did not have high expectations as clubs in Arkansas are known to be pretty terrible and this was a hole in the wall. However (maybe in part to having such low expectations) I was actually quite surprised how cool of a place this was.
The club is quite small, super narrow maybe 20 feet wide. Just enough room for a bar for 8 or so people, a tiny stage with a few seats nearby, and a restroom. Then there is an entire downstairs area as well with some very unique lap dance areas. The clubs walls were covered with vintage art and sports memorabilia. If you took down the stripper pole you could easily put a band on stage and this would feel like a really cool secret music venue. Make no mistake it's a bit of a dive and isn't for everyone but I thought it was pretty rad.
Where the club gets interesting was downstairs. This club is a juice bar so they don't serve alcohol. That allows less restrictions in Arkansas on lap dances, however I am not sure the specifics. I'm pretty sure they are BYOB. They had a few different lap dance areas one with chairs, one with more of a bench, and one with more of a bench/bed. The furniture was a bit torn up but not a big deal and IIRC the last two options had a full blown curtain for complete privacy.
