I went in on a Saturday, after the mask mandate was lifted. Figured I'd celebrate with my first trip to Pure Gold sine 2019. They've quickly gone back to "business as usual" inside the club - I'm not sure how it was the past year but I imagine they use to have the dancers wearing masks and distanced private dances. That was not the case, it was pretty much how I remembered the club being before the pandemic.

When I say that, I include the good and the bad. I'll start with the positives: I enjoy Pure Gold's atmosphere, it's sexy, upscale-feeling with an appropriately fun dash of seedy to it. The main room is great, some of the ladies on stage have some awe-inspiring pole tricks up their sleeves. The staff is also generally nice and attentive. Pure Gold's also good for a few dancers each night that like to hang out with patrons. I like chatting with a lady before going to the dancing portion of our time, I find it helps make the dance more comfortable and fun.

The negative I'm thinking of is that some of the staff can be pushy. It's been that way every time I've gone. I don't mind a little salesmanship pushback, but it does get a bit much sometimes. The bouncer taking the money for the dances had a comment whenever I turned down one of the upcharged dances they promote. It got annoying, let me do my thing. My first dance, the lady was also hustling hard. She told me I could only touch her breasts if I got her into one of the higher-priced rooms. Meh. It's like, I respect the hustle but Pure Gold sometimes tries too hard. It can also be pretty pricey.
