McHales is a long standing top less bar in downtown Corning, NY. It’s essentially a small, locals bar with an afterthought of a stage with a pole in the back, where pool tables would ordinarily be. The place itself is cozy and, when you walk in, you’ll get the feeling you’ve been there before. You have, essentially, because it’s just like every other corner bar in every other small town or city in America.
My husband and I arrived around 9:30 on Saturday evening, to pop his strip club cherry. After I grabbed a table he got drinks, which were surprisingly reasonable: $11.00 for a draft beer and a mixed drink. There were several couples there and we both felt very comfortable despite there being a locals vibe.
After about 20 minutes two dancers came out, walked around for a bit, then proceeded to give makeshift lap dances at the bar. Eventually one of the girls went up on the stage, did some pole tricks die a minute then proceeded to lap dance on the floor. Eventually the second dancer joined her while they gave a couple a lap dance, each girl taking turns with each of them, simultaneously. The first dancer returned to the stage to do a few more twirls on the pole but, in total, she was up there less than one song’s worth of time.
