Overly Persistent Tip Parade

I stopped by Taboo on a rainy, cool Thursday afternoon and the whole covid setup hasn't changed. As is the case with most of these types of establishments, they currently do not allow seating around the bar so everyone must sit at individual tables which are spaced approximately six feet apart around the perimeter of the bar. During the day there is no cover to get in and nobody was taking temperatures. The usual proceedings, at least in the afternoon, is that there will be two girls at a time doing their stage show and after about 15 minutes, they then come around to collect a tip and this is one of the places in the area where the dollar parade is always in full force. I did not partake in any private dances during this visit, but they are definitely offered and I believe they followed GGR's example in that the cost of one dance in the public room was increased $5 to $25 per song. There are private rooms available, but I'm not sure exactly how much that will set you back. Most of the dancers are of Russian/Slavic or Hispanic descent, but there will be a few domestic ladies sprinkled in as well. On this particular visit I would rate most of the women as 6s or 7s and I haven't ever seen anything better than an 8 during any of my half dozen or so visits spread out over the past two years or so, but perhaps I've just gone at the wrong times.

As mentioned earlier, this place is notorious for rapidly depleting the contents of your wallet with the persistent dollar train, but on this particular visit, I was especially irritated by this one very skinny blonde chick who disappeared into one of the private rooms with another customer almost as soon as I arrived and was probably gone for 30 minutes. I know I saw her there previously, but couldn't tell you what her name is. As soon as she returned to the general bar area, she began circling the bar asking for tips without having done the standard brief stage time. Over a span of about 10 minutes, give or take one or two, she came around 5 TIMES requesting a dollar tip. I obliged each time, but when she was about to approach me for a sixth time about a minute later, I grabbed my coat and darted out the door since I had had enough at that point and there was nobody else there who was motivating me to stick around. I get that these are working girls and they rely heavily on our tips, but at what point do you draw the line and refuse to enable this type of excessive pestering? We are not human cash machines with unlimited financial streams and so we should only be expected to play along to a certain extent. On previous visits I recall something similar to this happening, only not quite to this extreme, and so you should be prepared to experience the same type of thing and decide how you want to handle if if you pay a visit to this place.

One other thing I have seen here is how some of the girls will stick to the regulars like white on rice to the point where you probably won't even get the opportunity to speak to one you particularly like because she will never pass your way. This is a very clean and visibly appealing club (not sure if the same can be said about the dancers), but this isn't a place I would be quick to recommend because sound hygiene, even during a pandemic, can only take you so far.
