Visited: Tuesday Afternoon

This was my fist visit to any club in more than six months. I paused as the vaccine looked to be close and the local community started to get hot with additional cases. Having reached vaccination status and a afternoon where I could defer some work, I decided to give things a try in Inkster. The parking lot was not busy, but that is not always a indicator of what’s inside. Today it was. Usual free parking in a fenced in lot with lousy pavement. $5 cover as usual but today no ticket (you typically need to turn in your ticket and buy at least one drink). There was one dancer on the center stage, about a dozen patrons spread out and only one other dancer 9holed up w a regular at the bar) that I saw while I was there. I bought a $7 beer, $10 w tip the waitresses here are always nice, obviously interested in continuing to sell drinks, but seldom pushy. Don’t know if tipping helps keep them at bay. The place was its usual smoky dump. Older dudes sitting in solo pods w buckets of beer. The one girl on stage had floppy boobs and remnants of a baby bump. Not ideal but in a pinch I could have fun there. She climbs down from the stage and heads directly to the far corner of the bar where a patron was apparently waiting. Ah well, maybe the next one. Unfortunately, they didn’t even put another girl onstage. I guess the two that I saw might be the entire lineup. So that was my cue to move on, no sense sitting on those uncomfortable chairs bathing in cig smoke and staring at some replay of a tigers game. I didn’t finish my beer and headed out to Bogarts where things ended better - review on that coming. A few notes, this was a bit before 3pm so still two hours from shift change, yes, it was Tuesday, which is $10 dance day at bogarts, the $10 dances at Hank’s North are Monday and that feature does tend to influence dancer and patron attendance. I was prepared for a smaller crowd of dancers, but I have never seen it this sparse. I was hoping to see Nicole or Dallas and figured I would take a spin, knowing Bogart’s offered an easy second landing spot. I could have received a ticket from the door man for free entry to Bogart’s but I never do that. If the entry fee was more than $5, I would but keeping my plans and my past to my self for $5 is worth it to me. I will say the doorman at Henry’s is super nice. Sorry for no details on specific dancers, they just weren’t there. I will be back because when things click, Henry’s N. can provide a divey, economical spot to get some action and a beverage.
