Shimmers First Time

First time here. Looks like a dive from the outside and just off a busy intersection in an area full of strip malls. This used to be the seedy area of town but that’s been pushed further out so I guess I’d call it safe. Stopped by early afternoon and it was more crowded than I would have expected. Maybe 8 -10 men and 5 dancers. Masks required. Grabbed a beer and sat at a table. It’s pretty run down inside as well. There are about 8 tables facing a smallish stage and you can sit at the rack. There are 3 or 4 private dance areas to the left as you walk in. Of the girls working, four were overweight and not attractive. Although I saw two go back to the private area so someone was biting. The blonde I thought was attractive came over and chatted. She was new to dancing and a bit overconfident...maybe people are throwing money post Covid super restrictions but she was a 6 in reality and wouldn’t make money in most Portland clubs. She said her dancers were $35 each or 3 for $100. I rolled my eyes. I mean 3 for $100 is common in Portland but this place is a dive basically. I’m not hurting for money though and wasn’t going to nickel and dime when there were no other options anyhow, so I did 3 dances. Masks stay on in the private dance area. Not everyone was following mask rules but it’s also not back to normal times. Her dances were fine and touching was allowed. Nothing special or extra. I left right afterwards. I’ve read other reviews saying pricing can be lower here. That’s probably true based on the quality of the place and the girls but I wouldn’t go back for any other reason than that. And for me, I didn’t pay down to begin with.
