The Pink Pony signed a seven year deal with the then newly-formed city of Brookhaven so that they could continue operations despite the radical Sexually oriented business ordinance drafted immediately after becoming a city.

Because of the controversy, the Pony removed the one-way mirror glass from most of their VIP rooms, and became much more strict with the floor activities of their dancers.
