Getting back to normal at Gold's

Gold’s has always been on my short list of clubs and it was one of the earlier clubs to open and had a decent outdoor area. Now I’m returning as it expands its hours and moves inside. Nothing has changed in the large layout of the club but there are some covid modifications. The smaller tables have two chairs on either side and have plexiglass standing in the middle, to deflect exhales I guess.

The center stage across the bar is the same but there is a low barrier about six feet away from the edge with chairs behind it. The stage is raised about four feet off the floor. Customers can hang dollar bills on the barrier wall or drop them in a tip bucket that hangs on the wall. The two side stages are still there but there were no dancers when I was there in the late afternoon.

They have their regular good bartendress and the drinks are generous and typically priced. There are still the lottery machines and I can’t remember seeing the pool table but it may still be there.

I saw plenty of dancers, about eight walking around in masks, and there may have been more in the back. They were all good looking, though I could only judge by their eyes and bodies. Masks are required for everybody and I’m sure they thought I looked handsome too. The dance area in back is changed with less lounging furniture and more rooms with curtains. I’m sure there was a camera but I didn’t look hard since there was a lovely dancer occupying my attention. She quoted $20 a dance and it was well worth the money and I gave a generous tip for her moves, good contact and beauty. Funny thing was, I forgot to ask for a peek under the mask, but everything else about her was appealing and sometimes it’s nice to imagine she has the whole package. She invited me back and I plan to see the rest of her.
