First time to a Hood Club
I arrived around 9:30 pm, thankfully I’ve read previous reviews or I probably wouldn’t noticed the small door bell to get buzzed in. The bouncer gives a very thorough pat down than send you to another guy to pay the $10 cover, but no temperature check that we’ve come accustomed too.
The place reminded me of a typical old school bar, but I think I came on plus size stripper night. More on the girls below. Looking around there’s a small dance stage with a pole. The stage is actually on the second level, so not much headroom for the girls to do much but spin around the pole or twerk. On the right there’s a room up a couple stairs with a long bar against the far wall and benches on the wall across for the bar. On the left there’s a L shape bar, 4 flat screen TVs a jukebox and the bathroom at the end of the room. You can actually sit at the bar here, there’s a table in between every 2 barstools for social distancing. A guy on the mic was selecting music on a laptop behind the bar. I think he was the hype man, but I couldn’t understand what he was saying because he was eating the mic.
There were about 6 patrons at the right bar and another 5 that I could see at the upstairs bar. I would say it was an older crowd, maybe 2 or 3 guys under 40. I got a stool on the left, since it was in front of the stage. However, 3 of the 4 dancers stayed all night at the upstairs bar, I guess this is not a tip parade type of place. You are required to order food with your drink, so I got the wings, rum&coke, tip for the bartender for $20. Unfortunately, I didn’t get my wings until closing because she forgot to put the order in. The rum&coke was in the smallest mix drink glass ever, so switched it up, ended up drinking 3 beers and 3 shots which helped make the dancers more attractive by the end of the night.
