If It’s the Right One, It Only Takes One
Details: Free parking, must wear masks to enter, temperature and ID checked, $3.00 cover, had to “sign in,” bottled water at bar was $2.75, dances are $20 for normal-length songs.
I visited on a Friday afternoon. I was on a tight schedule and only stayed 40 minutes before moving to another club, so not much variety in what I can report here. There were maybe half a dozen customers and maybe that many dancers, though it was hard to tell because some of the girls were “dressed for work” and some weren’t. The door man, the bartender and I were the only white folks in the place; everyone else was black. I can’t really say if mask-wearing was enforced, but everyone was wearing them except while drinking.
There is a pool table, a rectangular bar, and a stage, but no one was dancing. I took a seat at the bar. The girls – all black and of varying body types – were mostly talking to one another. From what I could see, they were all fairly young and attractive. One of the ones “dressed for work” looked especially attractive to me, and I tried to catch her eye, but she couldn’t see my leering smile under my mask.
