Studio 4 Closed

This is not a review but an announcement. Studio 4 Lounge, the strip bar founded by Peter Barth some 36 years ago on the site of the old Three Bears House, has been sold to some out of town developers for $1,250,000, a far cry from the $4,000,000 list price. The building will be levelled. The buyers remarked about the general dilapidated condition. A commercial complex offering food, fashion and general retail will replace the old Studio 4.

I did not know that Peter was 80 years old. I guess it is his time to move on and enjoy the rest of his life without the aggravation of running a strip joint that is not as busy as thirty years ago.

I had many good times over the 36 years. In the last few years, the dancers exhibited much more than dancing, but all are now relinquished to my memory banks.
