A Learning Experience

I arrived a little after eight Friday evening at a smallish two story brick building just off the Lawrenceburg main drag at the edge of a residential neighborhood. There's plenty of on street parking and, I think, a small parking lot in the back. Stepping inside, it appears that no one at this club is worried about COVID. None of the staff or dancers had masks and very few customers.

I paid the $25 cover and was in. The bar is directly opposite the door and the bartender immediately asked me what I wanted to drink. There's a sign behind the bar that says they have a one drink minimum. When I tried to order a shot I was told that they serve only beer and wine, and no draft beer either. A bottle of beer was $5 and a bottle of fruity Smirnoff malt beverage was $6.

The main room is maybe 1200 sq ft and has two small stages, each one roughly 4' x 10'. Only one stage was in use while I was there. Off the back of the main room is the dance room. It's maybe 150 sq ft, well lit, and has a narrow bench around the perimeter. Off the dance room is the "VIP" room. It's about the size of a walk in closet, is also well lit and has armless couches around its perimeter. There is no area of this club where you can get what I would call a private dance with just you and the dancer in a room or alcove. I looked for and did not see any cameras in the dance area. Maybe the club owners don't think they're necessary since everyone can see what everyone else is doing.
