I was in the middle of a cross-country road trip and decided to brave the COVID risks and stop in to Curves while I was staying in Tucson. Overall, even with the restrictions, I had a good time and would go back even if the setup was exactly the same, but it would be nice to see how the club works in a non-pandemic situation.

Curves is on a main north-south-ish street in Tucson, and is pretty easy to find and get to. The site takes up the whole width of the block between Oracle and 11th, and the parking lot can be accessed from either street. The building is fairly nondescript, but the area seemed safe enough and busy enough that it didn't seem desolate. When I pulled up, the parking lot was maybe 1/3 or 1/4 full. I'm not sure what the street parking situation on surrounding side streets is.

I walked in and got the full COVID rundown from the doorman. The rules, as best as I can remember them, are: once you're seated you pretty much stay in your seat and don't move around the club except to tip a dancer on stage; there is no contact with dancers on stage and they'd like you to only be up there the 5 seconds it takes to drop your tip in the bucket; if you do have to move around (to go to the bathroom or the champagne room), you wear a mask, but when seated you can remove your mask; open area lap dances aren't happening; the champagne room is open, but the dancers are required to maintain 6 feet of separation from you and touching them is not allowed. With the exception of that last rule, all rules seemed to be followed pretty well by everyone in the establishment.
