Good Grind, Expensive

PaperMoon is worth a visit during the pandemic, if you're stuck in DC and don't have the option to travel to better clubs. It's expensive as hell, but you can get a good grind at this joint, and there aren't many other options in the area for that.

PM has remained open throughout the pandemic and there are new rules in effect: there's no seating at the bar or at the stages. Temp check at the door. Masks are supposed to be required when moving around the club, but you can take them off while seated and drinking or while getting a dance. Last call is now at 10PM, the club closes at midnight.

Dances are $150 for 10 mins, or $400 for 20 mins. There's a king room available for $750 (30 mins, but if you ask, you'll usually get 45.) And there's an Emperor Room available for a whopping $2500 for an hour. I've never been to the Emperor Room but in my experience, you get the same quality of dance regardless of which room you book. King Room is advertised by dancers as being more private, but that's probably only true if the $400 / dance area (which has 4 spots) is occupied by others - the king room has smoked glass doors that are pretty see through to patrons in the club. During less crowded times, you'll often be the only one in the $400 area, and that's more private. There's a 25% fee for credit card transactions.
