Cheetah Update

I made a rare visit to Cheetah on Wednesday evening. We arrived about 8:00 p.m. Mandatory valet parking is $3. Actually, I suppose it’s not really mandatory, at least not in the Detroit sense, but if you’re driving, there really isn’t anywhere else to park. It's in the middle of the Atlanta Midtown business district, so it's a nice area, and if you do manage to find a street parking spot within walking distance, it would be safe to do so. The day shift cover charge was still in effect, which is $5. The sign said the cover charge goes up to $10 after 9:00.

After paying the cover charge, you go though a turnstile, down a short hall, and then left (straight ahead is the “Executive Room,” which I understand is a large VIP room, but I have never been in it), and down another hall which opens into the main club. The club is large, with two bars on each wall, a long stage across from each bar, an elevated dining area at to the left, and the main stage and another dining area to the far right. Plexiglass shields divide the bars up into little booths with two bar stools each as a COVID prevention measure.

It’s hard to say how many dancers were on shift as they circulated in and out of the back, but at any give time there were two on each bar stage and three on the main stage, for a total of seven at a time. They danced three song sets (no poles, so they just swayed around) and I didn’t see the same girls go up for at least 45 minutes, so there must have been at least 30 girls working. Almost all of the girls were good looking, but I saw a couple I would consider substandard. They were about 70% white, 30% AA. The Cheetah’s ban on tattoos is long gone. Most had some, but they were generally tastefully done and not excessive. The girls typically would not get nude unless tipped a least $10.
