7TH FLOOR TOO PACKED

As the previous review said, HK is still closed because of Covid restrictions. I got to TJ at 1 am on the 26th. As I went through customs, the guy looked at my passport and let me through without any issues. Still had to get my bag scanned. When I went through the turnstile gate, there was no shuttle. The taxis were being quite aggressive, wanting $8 to $10 to go to HK. My internet wouldn't function properly or otherwise, I would of used Uber. Uber seems like it is safer too because they make all their drivers wear masks or they get reported. One of the taxis finally relented and did the ride for $5. Don't pay more than $5 for the taxi ride there. Once I got there, they ushered me into Hotel Cascadas. They were very adamant about making sure I used hand sanitizer. Got a single, since it was Saturday, it was $75. Was debating on whether to get the HK card to save 20% and get a free drink, but didn't know whether I would be coming back for a while so skipped it. Unloaded my stuff at the room then went to the 7th floor. My experience was different than the previous reviewer's. No one cared where I walked. Went up to the 7th floor. Essentially, the converted the whole floor into mini suites with TVs and bars. Maseros still aggressive like usual. They patted me down before I could be let in, then it was a free for all. Most people weren't wearing masks. Women were more forceful, maybe because it wasn't as busy. I made a mistake and didn't survey the area as much because I was tired. Went up with a 24 yo from Acapulco. Good looking, had a kid, but overall cute. Charged only $80. Had my fun and knocked out then went to NB Elite Spa in the afternoon.

If I go back, I think I will probably stay at Hotel Rizo del Oro across the street. Cheaper, cleaner, more quiet and newly renovated. Not sure if the women from HK will still go across the street, they did in the past. If anyone has info on that, thought would be helpful. Also, they are doing a promo on their Tropical Card for $30 for 3 months, it seems like it is interchangeable with HK and the discount still apply for both places with the complimentary drink.

Got back home, felt a little sick, thought I had Covid, but it was just a cold because of the changes in weather. Wear your mask and be safe if you go. You can still have fun and not get Covid, just be aware of your surroundings.
