So last weekish i was in town I went to check out the gogorama as it had decent reviews for a Jersey club and it seemed as my money would go further than it does at this place. Unfortunately I was unaware of a recent 10pm curfew so that place was closed as I arrived just after 10. So I decided to recheck out xxxv. Apparently they still got a loophole where they can still operate after the curfew. This place continues with the nickel and diming. 10 bucks to park 25 for cover, 2 bucks to check your phone. Byob for alcohol and the loophole is that they only serve drinks and food on their semi covered rooftop and you can’t drink inside. I stayed for a few hours and the crowd would wax and wane between upstairs and downstairs. Same amount of girls working as usual. Pretty pushy but not intolerable for 25-30 dollar dances and then for VIP , I usually get quoted 400, half for venue , half for girl and it’s frank sinatra. But I’m sure ymmv depending on the girl. My biggest qualm about this place, especially during this time is there’s open seats but they block em off for VIP hookah stuff even if it’s not in use, so the only really seating is stage side and that’s a quick money drainer. I try not to be cheap and usually spend decent money at clubs , but sometimes I like to chill and observe for a bit in between dances and/or VIP or waiting for someone I’m interested in to be available, this feels less possible here than most places. The no cell phone makes that worse. I’m more of a dances/vip guy than a throw my money at the stage guy.
