Follies dayshift and the potential it could be

So I heard through the wonderful followers here at TUSCL that the Follies dayshift was opening up on a Monday. So you know I had to make my way and see the old Follies gang. Follies at Vivide as they call it, is located at the old BodyTap, V-Live location on Marietta St in West Atlanta, fashionably known as “West Midtown”.

It took me an hour to get to Follies at VividE via the route I went. Follies old building was literally down the street for me. But being on I-85 South traffic on a Friday, this was to be expected. As soon as I walked up I saw the chef now security guy. Then I saw the beautiful blonde door that use to dance working at the front door. Cover was free but it was $10 to park at 6pm. Both of them greeted me warmly and told me this was their first week and the whole dayshift was inside. And boy they weren’t lying. The old DJ was in there, a lot of floor guys as well. It was like an old reunion. It was great to see all the old staff.

Anyone that has been to this location remember the old Body Tap and V Live , the place is huge. That has not changed. With the upstairs and downstairs and the square footage available, if Follies ever get back to its full strength, it’s going to be great. But for the first week opening, it was a little weak. The talent was a bit weak; but it was a good mixture of white and black girls and some Hispanic.
