Pantera is now Hispanic. It fits the neighborhood better that way. And, it just may be the liveliest strip club in Phoenix for weekend afternoon visits. On my recent Saturday and Sunday visits there were plenty of women serving a fair-sized crowd, so it was a bit difficult getting a dance. The women were mostly, maybe 60%, Latina. There was a nice mix of size, shape, color, and age. A full-framed, pale White dancer was my favorite on one visit, and second-favorite on the other. On Saturday, and as I understand every Thursday, the music was mostly Spanish language, a mix of hip-hop and salsa. My Sunday visit was English-language hip-hop. The gals get a bit nasty on the three stages, too.

Pantera has a 6-9PM drink special that I like, little Crown Royale highballs for two bucks. The place has, unfortunately, gone to the three-tier pricing system that’s been popping up all over town. $10 in the tiny chairs on the floor, $20 on the vinyl benches, and dancer’s option in VIP.

Décor is still goofy weird. There are sports memorabalia, native ceremonial masks, New Year’s Eve decorations and even a display of custom car wheels on the main stage. One corner is filled with storeroom-type junk. Despite all that, Pantera is a cheerful, fun place to spend some time.
