Sometimes you do get what you want.

So I was in Southern Pines to play golf. There’s only one club in town and the reviews were not promising. I didn’t want to drive to Fayetteville or Greensboro or the Triangle and I got a free entry coupon from the website AND it was literally a 5 minute drive from my hotel so I decided “WTH”.

Got there about 7:30 - no one was wearing mask. Don’t know what the cover charge was as they honored my website coupon. I started with my mask on but took it off after awhile. The club’s main room is very large with a bar at one side and a single main stage with a pole. No one was dancing. There were three guys at the bar chatting up a single blonde dancer. There was a barmaid and a waitress — the latter was wearing a mask (under her chin) and she asked if I wanted something to drink. I had already had some alcohol and it really didn’t look like a very promising night so I declined. There apparently is no drink minimum.

Eventually, the DJ called the dancers to the stage. They did a two song set. Topless by song two. And there were three total dancers that materialized from some place in the back. All three were pretty attractive (6-7), all were very very good on the pole, and none of them had any boobs (an “A” cup would have been an exaggeration). Needless to say, none of them did anything for me. After each girl did their set, the DJ came out and “swept” the stage if the dollars bills. Then the girls sat down on the front and essentially tipped what they had earned. It was sort of strange.
