Went to the Lumber Yard on...

Went to the Lumber Yard on Thursday with a friend, this was my first visit to this club. $10 cover to get in. This club is also BYOB. They check your cooler before you go in, no hard liquor allowed. Bottles are ok. At most tables there is a washtub bin for your beer, they also have a free ice machine in the front! Free soft drinks are available in the front. The club is open until 3 A.M. From the outside this place looks relatively small; however when you go inside this place is rather larger. It rivals the clubs in Vegas, on size. This club has an interesting setup in that the club is on 3 different levels, but you can see pretty much the whole club from any level. The club has 7 different poles on 4 different stages (main, lower& upper have 2 poles, middle stage has 1 pole). There is also 1 shower area for bachelor parties. On this night, there were only 2 stages going (main & middle). They tried to open the lower stage, but no one went to the stage.

Variety, if you are looking for variety, this place has it. White, Black, Asian, you name it. The quality of the girls ran the range from 4-9 with most in the 6-7 range. Most girls did 2 songs on the main stage and then did 2 songs on the middle stage. Overall, most girls were into their stage shows and it showed, girls made some good change on their stage dances. The hussle factor was almost non-existent; we only had 1 girl ask us for a dance all night. You had to go track down a girl and ask her to dance for you. The private dances are $25/song. I think the house gets $5 and the dancer gets $20. All dances are done on the lower floor in a fairly dark room. Pretty much anything goes during the dance. Most dancers said anything except the “cookie” was ok. Never saw a bouncer in the room. Something interesting in the VIP room, the dancers have to remove their shoes or pay a $50 fine. Management does want them to tear the furniture. We also noticed most of the good looking girls left the club around 12 or 1. Rather strange as the club was busy and more patrons were coming in.

Overall, we had a good time at the Lumber Yard. Will go back next time I am in DSM.
