Great club with very questionable policies

I was in the Detroit area for the first time and decided to check the club scene. Ive heard good things but didn't have high expectations given covid regulations.

So I get to the club around 6pm and the bouncer says I'm not meeting the dress code, says I need a collared shirt and non athletic shoes. I'm thinking wtf I'm in a three quarters button up and casual new balances. But I'm pretty close to me hotel so nbd I leave to change and come back.

I get back around 30mins later and no problem getting in and the bouncer is pretty friendly chats me up for around 5 mins. I buy a table for $20 and settle in. Waitess comes and i order a g&t and steak bites($12 and $28). Then I notice plenty of white guys not following this dress code and I'm pissed. I was about to storm out but every pretty friendly inside and I had plenty of girls approach me.
