The first hint of CP being the new Follies is mandatory valet parking in conjunction with an undersized parking lot. The Follies parking lot was too small for the crowd, the Club Platinum parking lot is too small for the building. I arrived before the valet setup so I got a spot at the side of the building near the street. I saw a few under utilized lots nearby, but I don't know if there is a towing risk. I didn't see any signs when I cruised them. Got patted down by security, no cover but tipped the girl as I remembered her from Follies. When I walked in I saw pool tables to the right. The bathroom is straight ahead. Another Follies reminder, VERY small with an INOP urinal to make it worse. The attendant was quick to turn on the water, gave you a pump of soap and provide a clean towel. He also has a mini-store of other items. The main bar is to the left upon entering with a row of stools. There is a narrow path between those stools and the small stage along the wall opposite of the bar. As the crowd builds, there is usually a line of guys standing there. I didn't hear any dancers being called to the stage, but an occasional dancer went up for a song or two or to share some dope. You go down some steps past the bar to the main stage. There was no regular rotation of dancers on the stage. It was hit and miss. A dancer or two went on the stage when they felt like it, weren't getting any table dances or were bored. Most of the dancers on this day were all average to me. There were a couple that caught my attention, literally a couple. There are a few tables there with couches along the walls. The one side is listed as VIP. When you get a table dance the dancer removes her top but leaves the bottoms on. A non-VIP table dance is $10. I got a few dances from girls I knew at Follies, but the atmosphere is definitely not the same. Even though the girls were the same, the feeling wasn't. There wasn't a fun connection during the dance. I had a nice time seeing old friends from Folies but I wasn't sold on this being the new club to hit when I'm in Atlanta. Definitely no VIP experience in Club Platinum to match Follies.
