I visited Hook many times while spending a month in Buenos Aires in December 2006. December isn't a great time to visit the chicas as many leave to go on holiday for a month. I was able to find a couple of ladies who were spending their holiday in the city and were looking for work. This place is fairly small and very dark so be sure to look at the women closely so there are no surprises when in the light.

Most of the chicas are not Argentinian. Many are young and have a pretty good attitude. You will be asked to pay more if you do not speak Spanish. Stay strong and pay $150-$200 pesos for 2 hours. You will have to buy a drink for the lady. Some will try to get you to buy 3 drinks so they will not have to return for the night. Again, stay strong and remain in control of the situation.
