Might be Another 10 Years Until My Next Visit
Stopped at Heart Breakers for the first time in at least 10 years. I arrived around 7:00, there wasn't a cover charge but the doorman wanted to see my ID, despite the fact that I'm obviously not kin my 20's anymore. It was raining and I didn't want to walk back to my truck to get my license. He finally relented and said he's let me in if I threw a tip into the bowl next to the register. I tossed in a five and went to the bar. Approximately 7 girls working, 5 of them were average looking and 2 were pretty hot. Once seemed totally strung out and more than half were heavily tattooed - not a problem for me. Each did 3 songs on stage and then do the customary Wisconsin tip walk. If a girl sits next to you and starts talking, you are expected to buy them a drink. A girl was sitting next to me for about 30 seconds, and had only introduced herself so far, ordered a bottled water which she tried to pay for herself. The bartender, who was was friendly, said I had to pay for it since I'm next to her. I wasn't aware of the policy and the girl didn't know about it either. I paid for her water and we talked for a few minutes but she wasn't my type. The bartender came back and apologized, saying it was a new policy and one of the managers was enforcing it tonight. She bought me a drink and said I shouldn't have had to pay for the dancer's water. I don't care about the money, I just don't like the policy. I spend money at clubs, but at least let me have a little time to determine if it's someone I'm going to spend money & time on. I later did a couple of lap dances with a different dancer whose name I can't remember for the life of me. It was average at best with a bouncer walking buy quite often. Not sure if I'll return considering On The Border offers more and better dancers, and more contact without the ridiculous drink policy.
