Circumstances conspired to make the Playhouse my first post-COVID lockdown strip club visit, and I am glad they did. Physically, the place is pretty much what it's always been: a little bit of glitz, but mostly a neighborhood bar vibe. The bar encircles the stage, pretty standard layout for clubs of this size and in this region.

There are some changes since COVID hit: there is a guy at the door who will check your temperature with a "thermometer gun," and asks you to sign a waiver. There is no ID check, and the three blanks on the form are for your signature, your printed name, and the date of your visit. Every other seat at the bar has a taped "X" on it "for social distancing," as the guy at the door said. Not much different from usual; I'm not used to guys at strip clubs sitting down next to guys they don't know unless there aren't enough seats available. The bartender is masked, and dancers are generally masked as they make the rounds, but not when on stage.

Dancer quality is, as always, uneven but with someone to please everyone. I didn't see much of the regulars I like, but I did see Cayenne on stage when I was leaving, and I thought I caught a very brief glimpse of Erica from the far side of the bar. I got one "Playhouse handshake" as dancers came around for tips.
