Marcet on the street...

Marcet Cafe Gentlemen's Club
1011 Market St Paterson, NJ 07513
For those of you who don't know, this is a long, narrow bar on the corner of a semi-industrial, semi-residential neighborhood not to far from the interstate. They have about six feet or so of the sidewalk on the residential street side blocked off. They have a fence and umbrellas, so it is sort of private. The could have used another umbrella to block the sun. I have to say that this bar has always been a dump, so it is actually much more pleasant to sit outside in Paterson than inside. You still go inside for the toilets and, I think, dances. When I was there there was a group of three guys who worked in some blue-collar job and a gnarly old white guy. There were several dancers. Except for the old bartender (who is black) the rest seemed to be Brazilian. One seemed to be youngish (<35), three probably in their late 30s with a bit more weight, and one probably in her mid-40s. One seemed a white American of indeterminate age who seemed either pregnant, except that she was smoking and drinking, so maybe she was just fat. Most seemed all attractive, if you like Brazilian MILFs who could probably lose 10 pounds. (I say that seriously.) Two offered dances to me, with a bit more. I did not follow up on this. The prices offered seemed to be inline with what I had been offered in previous trips. None of the women asked for tips. However, when I turned them down for dances, they started to ignore me. Which I guess is par for the course. I had a beer, which tasted good in the heat. It was a very cold Coors light for $4. I am not sure if this place is any worse because of the pandemic. I mean, I didn't go by at night, and I am not sure I want to drink on a Paterson street at night. I don't even know if they are open late. The dancers really seemed about what was normal, although the Brazilian component was higher. But this place has always been a dump so it really has no way to go but up. If you liked it before, you might like it now, too. I doubt it will win new friends. I spent $4 total for 45 minutes. It was cheap, but you get what you pay for.
