So Camelot is the only DC stripclub to have reopened, but it’s not a stripclub anymore, at least for now. You now have to make table reservations in advance probably for social distancing purposes, but when you get there, no strippers! Sure, they’ve done some sprucing up of the place, but it’s still the same layout, even with the main stage. Only they have a fake armored knight on the stage. I asked the waitress and she said they’ve changed the business name and website. It was always called Camelot Showbar, and now it’s Camelot Restaurant and Social club, and they only have bartenders and servers. I asked if they plan on bringing dancers back when the rest of the stripclub are allowed to open back up and she said she was told no. I guess Mpire two doors down had been taking more of the stripclub business than was worth remaining a stripclub, and now they are trying a new avenue. With all the bars/restaurants/regular clubs in the area and even on the same street, who knows if it will work.
