• mikeymApproved·Cue Meet the Mets song. After winning the World Series in 1986, the Mets' fans thought they're going to be contenders every year. Didn't happen. In fact, druggie Doc, Cone, Ojeda, El Sid, Orosco, McDowell, Nails, Backman, Hernandez, Carter, Strawberry, HoJo- the team lagged in future seasons. Mets have never won again although they got close in 2000 and 2015. Mons reminds me of the Mets; it's a decent club and has had some amazing years, but there are better clubs out there right now in Ybor, Clearwater, and Pasco.
