Cha cha changes

First of all before reviewing the inside there's a huge change outside at least on the night I was here. As anyone who has been here knows the club is on the main drag through downtown and with Elyria being a dump half ghetto city the dregs and gangsters of the city often congregate downtown selling drugs, panhandling, or looking for someone to rob so depending on your backbone quotient you might not feel safe. I have had an incident here and there over the years but have always handled it.

The outside change on this night is that except for a very few, the normally lit up buildings were mostly all dark making downtown resemble a large dark alley. I have never seen it anywhere near this dark downtown and my spidey senses instantly ramped up when I saw this. All the parking spaces in front of the bar were filled so I parked across the street and a couple of the usual hoods approached as I crossed and stepped on the curb but I walked past them and entered the bar.

Inside the guy at the door gave me the new rules. You had to wear a mask so I put mine on. He then told me that once you sit you can take off the mask but you had to put it back on when standing or walking in the club. He was wearing a mask but the bartender and club owner were not.

The bartender was standing right there so I ordered a beer, $4.
