The Mons Grows Up !

The Mons has been a Tampa institution for decades. I first went into the Mons 28 years ago. And during that time, the club has made very few changes. Well, that has all changed now. And it's a pretty significant change.

The club now is open only Wed - Sun, 8pm to 4am because of Covid. I get there about 9pm on Friday evening. No cost to park. You have to wear a mask to enter and someone takes your temperature before you can walk in. $22 is the entry fee.

I walk in and don't immediately notice the changes. Large stage right in the middle of the club with places to sit around the stage and on each side. I sit down. No dancers are allowed to approach you until a waitress approaches you. She comes by and offers me a soda or water. No alcohol served at the Mons. I decline as there is no obligation. Then she points out the changes. Wow, is there a change.
