Not much new here to report...
Not much new here to report since my last visit in February. The place still has the feel of a neighborhood bar that just happens to have dancing girls. They call it “Providence’s Best Kept Secret,” and I was surprised to find the place quite so quiet on a Saturday night. If the girls don’t interest you, maybe the multiple HDTV’s will. On-street parking remains difficult to find, particularly with Waterfire and the local theater scene.
It’s still a low-hustle environment, which I like. One notable change…the private dance booths have been moved around so you’re no longer necessarily face-to-face with other dancers and their customers. I tried a couple of dancers, the best being Anastasia. She found ways of keeping things interesting with good grind and some two-way contact. Good long songs too. The champagne room appeared to be unoccupied while I was there. I’m not quite sure why they built the thing in the first place.
I noticed one strange trend since my past visits. In past years the bikinis would often “slip to the side” while the girls were up on stage. Not much of that now, and the girls seem to check around the corner before showing their goods in the booths. At one point this club went through paint-on pasties too, so I’m hoping it’s only a short phase.
