I’m probably about four round trips away from earning premier status on an airline. Now that some cities have clubs opening up, I decided to do a “status run” by doing a cheap flight to Atlanta to get one of the round trips done. Doc and Bubba had recently posted about Oasis, so I put that on my short list of places to hit. I also wanted to hit Cheetah, Pink Pony, or Tattletales, but the return flight time only gave me enough time to hit two clubs. Cheetah just started operations again on June 8, 2020, but they didn’t open up until 4 p.m. for the entire week. That wouldn’t work for me as I had to be at the airport by then for the return flight home. Pink Pony got shut down by the cops according to one of the Oasis dancers I talked to, so that was a no-go. Apparently, cops came to check on the coronavirus distancing practices that were supposed to be in place, but found violation. PP got a warning, but were found to violate again a few days later during another cop visit, so they got shut down. I don’t know if this information is accurate, but that’s what the dancer told me. So my plan was to hit Oasis for a few hours, then Tattletale, and then head to the airport.

I got to Oasis on Tuesday shortly before noon, and there were only about eight cars in the parking lot. I went in, got my temperature taken, and was told to write my name (went with Jimmy Carter) and my temperature down on a sign-in sheet before going in. The place was pretty empty. The few customers that were there were all sitting at the bars, and no one was sitting at any of the tables. The tables are all set pretty far apart – I think I counted 18 regular 4-person tables. The furniture is basic wooden oak tables and chairs. Nothing fancy. The place is one big room with a main stage in the middle of the room, another similarly sized stage in the back near the VIP rooms, and one or two other satellite poles (there might have been one on the far side of the main stage near the large bar, but I didn’t get over to that side.) The vibe of the place is kind of like a neighborhood bar (albeit pretty large) with sort of a western motif. At that time of day, there was no DJ, and they played mostly top-40 stuff on auto-play. All of the staff (dancers, waitresses, etc.) wore masks. Not of the customers I saw were wearing them. Currently, they are limited to having only 20 dancers and 90-ish customers in the building.

I had read in other reviews that this is a “regulars” place, and girls generally don’t like to come up and talk to customers if they don’t know you. I was getting that feeling after sitting there for about 15 minutes, and no one had approached me other than the waitress to ask me what I wanted to drink/eat. I got a bottle of Fiji water ($4.75), and a grilled chicken sandwich (about $8-9). Tequila and a Red Bull was I think $19. Kinda steep. I made sure to tip the waitress generously so that if any of the girls were paying attention, they would know that I was spending money. A girl from South America did finally sit down to talk to me after I put my food order in, and she was very friendly. She was a bit older, but had a decent body, and was all natural up top. She had had some work done elsewhere. The problem though is that with the masks, you can’t tell what these girls look like face-wise. They might have a good body, but have a butter face. I like a good face to match a good body. I sent SA on her way while I ate lunch, but asked her to come back afterwards, but not before screening her to see what was available on her menu. SA said that all table/floor dances were air dances as that was all that was allowed by management, but that in VIP, she would allow lots of contact anywhere I wanted even though they were supposed to be practicing social distancing.
