Oasis reopened on Wednesday June 3 and I risked life and Corona limb to serve as advance scout for my fellow TUSCLers. When I pulled into the area I was very surprised to see the number of cars in the lot. They were definitely open as the website said. I walked in past the warning signs every business in Georgia must post - asking customers not to enter if exhibiting any Clovid-19 symptoms. There was no charge for parking or entry. (there was something that looked like a waiver form but I walked in without any interaction with the door girl.

I quickly scanned the room and noticed that roughly half of the tables had been removed including those against the wall. I was hoping to find an empty VIP/Bottle table, but they were all occupied except one and a dancer appeared to be holding that one for a regular. I picked one of the empty 4toppers near the back bar and stage. Within a few minutes I was asked if I wanted company and a pretty dancer sat down with me. After introductions she explained that this was the first day back open and there was a waiting line when they opened. She explained that there were only 20 dancers allowed per shift and customers were limited to 98.

I was there about 1.5 hours and during that time I’d estimate there was 50-60 customers and 15 dancers out on the floor. As before the health drama, floor dance contact was non existent. I forgo to mention, the dancers all had to wear masks as did other staff. I didn’t get any floor dances but did inquire about availability of VIP. They had closed the small $30 rooms with the explanation that they didn’t allow enough room and separation between customers and dancers. My sense is this was a first day situation that will ease up with time. The dancer I was speaking with said they weren’t really sure if they were supposed to be able to dance and that some other places were just functioning as a bar. That is what she had heard from her friends working at the other places. Always accurate info from dancers huh?
