This is my first post COVID-19 review of Sugar 44. Physical layout is similar to before except for the faux dining table across from the bar, spent 2 hours and no one ever sat there. Also, the tables are placed 6 feet apart but all of the bench seating is exactly the same. I don't think that it's really necessary to describe the club since it's in 100s of other reviews here.

Arrived at opening, I was one of three PLs in the place, two at the spread apart bar seats and I grabbed the far corner bench to wait for my ATF. Started to feel like old times, glad to be back. When my AFT was finished prettying herself, I went up to the bar and got a $5 soft drink (price hasn't changed) and a $1 tip to the barmaid that actually remembered my drink preference. That's one of the reasons that I like S44, it has more of a neighborhood bar vibe, people actually know you there, enough to remember my drink order after 2 months (diet coke, light on the ice, no straw). I don't like that I would pay more for my ATF's drink if I order it instead of her, so I don't buy her drinks but make it up on stage tipping. There were about 6 dancers there at opening, I recognized about half of them. MIA were Mustang, Paris and Chyna.

First thing, got an in-briefing about the new rules. I saw that coming so I avoided hugging her when we first met, difficult to do after 2 months now. No touching at all on the floor, tables, benches or stage. Some PLs were laying their stage tips on the stage floor, some were handing the tip to the dancer and she placed it in her garter, and a couple did actually put it in the garter out of habit I suppose and were reminded by the dancer. Everyone seemed to be on their best behavior trying to adjust to this new environment, seems so unnatural in a club. I have never been a VIP customer before but I thought, no way am I staying here for air dances of which I saw none the whole time that I was there.

We decided to visit VIP (first time for me) and I purchased the $20 wristband for me and the $20 for her first visit of the day (she did not ask me to do that but did give a genuine thank you). The waitress came over to attach my wristband at the bench seat and I also gave her my ATF's fee, the waitress was surprised, guess it doesn't happen that often. I have decided that I will purchase it if I'm her first VIP of the day. Heck, I don't even like to buy one, it doesn't seem like she should have to buy one also. Oh well, sometimes it's just seems like the right thing to do. Dances are $20 per song, I don't count because I trust her and we kind of have developed a flat fee per visit type of structure anyhow.

We went to the curtained VIP area across from the bar, her preference. I was surprised that there were already two couples in there already, I guess that it was busier than I thought because PLs were not hanging out on the no contact floor. We started out on one of the end benches but switched to the middle because the curtain doesn't exactly close all of the way. She called me a VIP virgin and said that she never pushed VIP before because she likes the customer to feel comfortable within their own limits.
