Diamond Dollars
After reading up on TUSCL about how few and how lame the clubs in Dayton are I decided that Diamonds would be the place I try first. It helped that it was an 8 minute drive from my hotel. I actually visited on two consecutive nights; A Wednesday / Thursday and had two pretty different experiences, one just average and one pretty good resulting in my better than average ratings as a whole.
Wednesday - Read up ahead of time that this place was a BYOB so I had my 18 pack of Bud Light in the car that I bought at Kroger for 13.99....... i.e. low cost of drinking here which factored into my value rating. The doorman went through a litany of no-touch rules; being a "private all nude" club they scan your license and you sign a form, get a "membership card" and pay your $10 cover charge. The waitress brought me a small galvanized washtub of ice to keep my beer cold; I tipped her two dollars. The club is fairly large with a high ceiling; a 20x20'? stage that is 3 feet high sits in the center.
While I was there a single dancer occupied the stage at a time for three songs progressively stripping down such that the last song was nude. 5-6 customers and 5-6 dancers on Wednesday that rated 6-8 in appearance. If you want to tip the girls bring ones, otherwise the waitress brings you monopoly "Diamond Dollars" of which the ladies only get 80 cents. I also found out that Kroger would not take leftover Diamond Dollars for my purchases the next day…... the cashier was not happy with me.
