Minor changes
I was in St. Louis last weekend so I decided to check out bottoms up. I got there around 10:30pm. First thing I noticed was a new small semi-paved parking lot directly in front of the club. Before the space was just a grassy area surrounded by concrete pillars, so it this change makes sense as it provides a better option than some of the lots surrounding the club or chancing it with parking on the street (there have been issues with cars getting towed in the past). They were charging $10 to park in the new lot tonight and they had someone monitoring it as well. I paid the $10 cover and was in after a pat down and a trip through a metal detector.
Initially, there were only two or three dancers out on the main floor. I went to the bar and ordered a cognac (D'usse) for $12. I noticed that they added a pole to the main bar. After I got my drink, I sat at one of the tables in front of the main stage. One of the dancers got up on the main stage, but she was just basically stretching and going through the motions since the club was pretty empty. Another change that I noticed was the shower that was in the corner off to the side of the main stage had been removed and replaced by just a normal pole.
After a while, another dancer joined me at my table and asked if she could hang out with me, she wasn’t my type physically but she had a cool personality so I didn’t mind her company. A few more dancers started to trickle in over the next hour. All of the dancers were black expect for the one older white chick who was there on my last visit a few months ago. I noticed that most of the dancers were on the younger side (19-21 if I had to guess). The overall talent level wasn’t great, but there was one girl who was stacked that I had my eye on. She was short and thick with a medium complexion and she eventually made her way to my table. She danced for me at the table, decent grind, but not a whole lot beyond that. No set price, so I tipped her about $20 in singles over the two or three songs that she danced for me. She didn’t bring up a private dance and I didn’t ask her about it either. She got called up to the main stage during while she was dancing for me at the table, so she had to cut it short. By this time, it was after midnight and more customers had arrived (smoking is allowed in this place and a lot of customers take advantage so it can bother some folks). I decided to leave and check out another spot after not seeing any other dancers that were my type arrive. Overall this place seems to be falling off in terms of dancer talent, but I may give it another shot next time I'm in town.
