After driving about five hours from Memphis on my way to Ohio, I figured I earned myself a short stop in L'ville. I decided to hit the Green Light first, arriving at about noon, Tuesday, September 26, 2006. I went to the bar and ordered a $4 longneck. I was the only customer there with about four dancers present, ranging in appearance from 5-7.

I was soon approached by a black dancer (5) who asked if I would be interested in buying her a drink. Knowing the usual price range on dancers' drinks in this city, I politely declined.

After awhile, I approached a dancer (7) who was at the end of the bar, playing a video game. We got to talking and she asked if I wanted to play a video game with her (using her money too!), I said, sure. After awhile, I asked her if she wanted a drink, and I bought her a $20 dancer drink. This is how the girls make part of their money in the clubs in Kentucky. I suggested we move from the bar to one of the tables across from the stage (a little more secluded area). I hadn't seen any dancers dancing to this point. I asked her if the dancers ever danced on stage during the afternoons. She replied, sometimes, but she doesn't like to get up on stage for one or two dollars. But, she said she would get up if I wanted her to. I said sure. By this time, two other senior citizen customers, (older than I) came in to the club. I ended up tipping her a five spot while the other guys tipped her ones. She finished dancing and re-joined me at the table.
