Slow night but still had fun

I hadn't been to Bazooka's in over a year, so I decided to stop back in and give it a shot. I visited on a Friday afternoon at about 4:30pm. When you walk in the place, there is an escalator to go upstairs to what I believe is an adult store, but I did not and have not in the past gone up there, so I can't comment on it. They take your cover at the desk in the lobby area (it was $15 when I went, not sure if that changes based on time), and give you an entry ticket, then you walk through another set of doors into the actual club area. The first thing I noticed is that this club isn't nearly as dark or as loud as most clubs that I've been to. I mean the lighting is definitely low, but not so low that you need time to really adjust your eyes coming in. The music also isn't insanely loud, which I appreciate. When I got there I was one of two gentlemen in the place. The stage is along a wall at the front and has 2 poles. There is standard "creeper's row" seating along the stage, and then a number of small tables with 2-4 chairs each on the main floor. Behind that, there's a row of bench type "booth" seating with tables. The club seemed very clean and comfortable; definitely has a nice feel to it, not run down at all. They don't serve alcohol, and basic soft drinks are included with admission. If you want to buy one of the ladies a drink, it's $6. When I first arrived, there were probably 5 or 6 girls around, and the stage dancing was actually pretty good considering the lack of crowd. One dancer I watched went topless, and the other went full nude. A few dancers did stop by my table. I turned away those that simply came up with the "want to go dance" line, but the one dancer who went full nude on stage came over to chat, and she was cute and friendly so we went back for a couch dance. The couches are in an area behind the main seating area, but not at all private. The couch dance was $20/song, topless only, and you are not allowed to touch. She did give a good dance though, so despite the lack of me being able to touch it was still enjoyable. I paid her the $20+5 tip and at that point, I left and went next door to grab a few adult beverages, and came back in with my ticket at about 6:50pm. Here's where it got weird. I was stopped in the lobby and told that it was "shift change" and I wouldn't be able to go in for 15 minutes. I've never heard of such a thing before. Maybe it's common, but not in the clubs I've frequented in the past. But anyway, once I was back inside, the place was still empty of customers, but there were probably now closer to 15 entertainers. Stage dancing was still pretty good - only saw one more dancer go full nude, everyone else was topless. Again I passed on a few "wanna dance" offers, but then struck up a conversation with one very attractive brunette. I returned to the couch area with her and did 3 dances. Hers were extremely sensual, and frankly she was so good I wasn't even that upset at not being able to touch anymore. Because I had taken up a decent amount of her time chatting, and her dances were exceptional, I gave her $100 for the 3 dances. I was tempted to try VIP, which I was told by multiple dancers was $200 for a half hour and allows touching, but I had some things to do and needed to get going.

So, overall, I was pretty happy with my visit. I spent a total of $150 ($15 cover, $6 dancer drink, $125 on dances, $4 waitress tips), and felt like I mostly got my money's worth. For being such a slow night, there were still a good number of dancers, and all were very attractive. I will say if you prefer Asian or Latina women, this may not be your place. When I was there, it was 90% white dancers with a few AA. The whole sitting on your hands during the couch dances is a little annoying. I'll also say the hustle factor was pretty low - about 50% of the girls that stopped by just asked to dance, and didn't get pushy when turned down. The other 50% were very happy to sit and have an unrushed friendly conversation. All of that said I definitely won't be letting a year pass before my next visit, and might give the VIP a shot next time if I find the right companion.
