I guess sometimes the second time is "the charm"...

Taking a break from has been my default Phoenix club, Bourbon Street, I decided to give this club another try. This was my second visit to the club, giving it a second chance as I said I in my earlier review I said I might one day. For comparison, my first visit was late on a rainy week day night, where the talent was extremely disappointing, the patrons few, and my stay very short as a result.

So, on to the visit tonight. It was a Wednesday night around 11:30 PM. Parking lot had a number of cars but spaces were still plentiful. I entered the club and was greeted by the girl at the window/hostess. Entry fee was $10. I give her a Benjamin and she proceeds to give me change in every denomination. She thought it was cute. So I end up with a $50, $20, $10, $5, and $1 x 5. I tried to ask her to give me $20's and a $10 but she said something like you gave me a special bill so you deserve special change. Okay, I can get past it. Surprised there wasn't a security guard or any kind of pat down,

I enter the club and it has that local bar with a stage feel that I vaguely recalled from earlier. I find a seat not far off the stage (and honestly there is not really a seat other than at the bar itself that is that far from the stage). I'm greeted by the waitress who asks what I'd like. I say a water with ice. She brings it and says it's free and I give her a $2 tip. She then says there's a 2 drink minimum. (Hm, why didn't gal at entrance say that?) So, I tell her that I don't drink and drive but I'm happy to pay the soda price for the otherwise free water as I don't want to waste the soda and I'm not going to drink caffeine and stay away all night. Long story short she comes back and says she can sell me a bottle of water for $5. Okay, fine pay for the water and tip again.
