A relaxing Sunday evening

Found myself in El Paso with some time to kill and money to burn. Headed to the Red Parrot on east side of town. Parking lot was half full. Cover was $10 to a mostly uninterested door girl. When I arrived she was short on change but we made it work.

Walked in and found a spot to perch and watch the stage show. No waitresses working but one of the bartenders eventually made her way over to take my drink order. It looked like lots of regulars and their attentive dancers spending time with them. While I was there I saw no more than seven girls dancing. Overall the talent was not outstanding this night. One girl was exceptional looking but she spent every moment with her regular unless she was taking a turn on stage. Glad I noticed the attention she was giving her guy before I wasted any stage tips on her. Tips for her did not result in any personal time to the tipper.

There was a small group of customers sitting directly in front of the stage drinking, looking thru their phones and occasionally tipping the dancers. Looked like this may have been a regular stop for this bunch. After about an hour they headed to the door never getting any dances while I was there. Looked like some nice Sunday evening entertainment to me. Throughout my stay there were about a dozen customers on average at any one time.
