Scoping the scene on a Monday
I hadn’t been to the club before, mostly because it seemed sketchy from the outside. However after striking out at landing strip one night I figured why not head over to divas instead of making the drive up to xtc or dealing with high price dances at plazio. I stopped by the gas station at riverside and 71 on the way over to pick up a six pack.
When I got to the club, plenty of cars were parked out on the street, so I did the same in order to avoid having to pay for parking - figured any risk would be minimal as I wasn’t planning on staying long. I ended up pretty close to Burleson and felt like my car was reasonably safe. Upon entering I paid my entrance fee (believe it was $12) and a vip fee (about $25), gotta remember the club isn’t making money off you for drinks and don’t want the poor club owners to go broke. I strode into the club, which has a big stage in front and two (?) smaller stages. Room was crowded! Most the crowd seemed blue collar and in a good mood. VIP dances are done on couches on the opposite side of a low partition from the main room, but I was told there’s another VIP room for an additional charge. The regular VIP room is pretty stuffed there didn’t seem to be much room in there between sofas, customers and dancers. All shapes and sizes of dancers, mostly (all?) Latina, but none in my wheelhouse, at least of the ones that stopped by to ask if I wanted a dance.
Used the bathrooms, standard club fare, seemed clean.
