Better contact than expected in VIP, but definitely not a bargain

With the knowledge that the Bourbon Street club scene is not what it once was (and that Bourbon Street is a tourist trap in general) I set out to see some naked women. Penthouse seemed to that he best reviews of the clubs around the French Quarter and I started there.

I signed up for their emails and got cover for free by showing them the pass on my phone. It was $12 for a Maker's Mark neat. Just after midnight, there were roughly 15 dancers and 25 customers. I only had one dancer approach me all night (keep reading) so I watched the two stages while I nursed my drink at the bar. Also, watching the customers was mildly entertaining. More women in the club than the places I usually go and they where pretty damn awkward. One couple came in to Penthouse to have an argument, WTF y'all stay home with that garbage.

A more "shy" dancer (if that's a real thing?) caught my eye. She spent some time sitting on the other side of the club by herself. She had red hair and reminded me of a thick Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones, but with a more dull face. On her third lap around the non-spending tourists I struck up a conversation and she sat at the bar. I was pushing it a bit with on-floor touching (casually running my hands along her legs, butt, and sides) and no staff said anything to me. This would not be the case for my visit to Larry Flint Hustler Club (review coming.)

Neither of us was in any rush, so we sat partially entangled until she got called up to the stage. Most of the night,only one guy spent any time at the tip rail on either stage, and Sansa must not have been his type, so she danced for a lethargic, cashless audience. I grabbed my ones for the tip rail, joined her for a bit, then we headed to VIP upstairs after her show.

VIP was empty on the second floor. The "rooms" reminded me of office cubicles, but plush. Sansa led me and the security guard to the farthest-back cubical, overlooking the stages and bar below. I had to pay upfront for the 30 min, which was $300. I tipped security $20 and only saw him again for the 5 minute warning. I figured since it was a slow night he might have too much time on his hands to babysit us; and I'd like him to find a better use of his time.
